Anxiety can cause symptoms that may range from nervousness to feelings of be anxious and panic. It can lead to fast breathing and may also cause other health conditions.

What is anxiety?

Anxiety is what we feel when we are afraid, worried, tense or terrified  – especially about things that are about to happen, or which we think could happen in the future.

Time to time everyone experiences anxiety in life. This includes both adults and children. For most people, feelings of anxiety go and come, only enduring a short time. Some moments of anxiety are more flying than others, enduring anywhere from a few minutes to a few days.

But for some people, these feelings of anxiety are more than just passing worries or a stressful day in life. Your anxiety may not go away for many days, weeks, months, or years. It can intensify over time, sometimes becoming so critical that it interferes with your daily life. When this happens, that’s mean you have an anxiety disorder.

What are the symptoms of anxiety?

1. nervousness, restlessness, or being tense

2. Feelings of danger, panic, or dread

3. Rapid heart rate

4. Rapid breathing, or hyperventilation

5. Increased or heavy sweating

6. Trembling or muscle twitching

7. Weakness and lethargy

8. Difficulty thinking or focusing clearly about anything other than the thing you’re worried about insomnia

9. Digestive or gastrointestinal problems, such as gas, constipation, or diarrhea

10. A strong desire to avoid the things that trigger your anxiety

11. Obsessions about certain ideas, a sign of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

performing certain behaviors over and over again

12. Anxiety surrounding a particular life event or experience that has occurred in the past, especially indicative of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Symptoms of anxiety

Panic attacks

A panic attack is a sudden onset of fear or distress that peaks in minutes and involves experiencing at least four of the following symptoms:

1. Palpitations

2. Sweating

3.Shaking or trembling

4. Feeling shortness of breath or smothering

5. Sensation of choking

6. Chest pains or tightness

7. Nausea or gastrointestinal problems

8. Dizziness, light-headedness, or feeling faint

9. Feeling hot or cold

10. Numbness or tingling sensations (paresthesia)

11. Feeling detached from oneself or reality, known as depersonalization and derealization

12. Fear of “going crazy” and ”losing control”

13. Fear of dying

Symptoms of Panic attacks

Some are the symptoms of anxiety that can happen in conditions other than anxiety disorders and This is usually the case with panic attacks. The symptoms of panic attacks are similar to those of heart disease, breathing disorders, thyroid problems, and other illnesses.

As a result, when people with panic disorder may make frequent visits to emergency rooms or doctor’s offices. They may believe they are experiencing life-frightening health conditions other than anxiety.
